About
Our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our growing operation. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately receiving, documenting, and organizing incoming shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth workflow within our warehouse. You will be working with a variety of products and interacting with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure efficient processing of all inbound goods. Proper use of PPE will be required at all times. Some Lifting may be required, typically up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Label and document all received items accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away into storage locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and Logistics procedures is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to wear required PPE .
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
