We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. The Shipping Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for dispatch. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. This role is essential for the smooth flow of goods and requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with carriers and internal departments. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing packages.
- Verify shipment contents against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external partners.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancies.
- Ensure timely processing of all outgoing shipments.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety regulations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
