Seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our vibrant Miami, Florida location! This dual-role position is crucial for managing the flow of goods both into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the receiving of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and condition of goods, and processing outgoing shipments with efficiency. This involves verifying documentation, preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining inventory records. A strong grasp of logistics principles and a commitment to operational excellence are key. This role requires physical capability, including significant Lifting, and a steadfast dedication to safety, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received inventory into the system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving and shipping procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both receiving and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipments.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory management systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
