We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of logistics. This role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing inventory, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for scheduling staff, conducting performance reviews, and implementing operational improvements. Your leadership will be critical in driving productivity and achieving departmental goals. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to motivate a team. You will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. A key focus will be on adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Manage warehouse equipment and ensure regular maintenance.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize delivery schedules.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including PPE requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
