Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage and to production/shipping areas.
- Organize and replenish inventory stock.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Good understanding of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
This role requires a proactive and safety-conscious individual. You will be essential in managing the flow of materials within our logistics network.
