We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is fundamental to the smooth functioning of our warehouse, involving the physical movement and organization of goods. You will be responsible for transporting, storing, and preparing materials for various stages of the supply chain, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate is a dependable individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to workplace safety. Key responsibilities include:
- Moving materials manually or with powered equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and into/out of storage areas.
- Organizing and arranging materials within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
- Assisting with inventory management tasks, including counting and verifying stock.
- Preparing materials for shipment or further processing.
- Operating equipment such as shrink wrap machines and banding tools.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and common spaces.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Using appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing repetitive tasks. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all employees receive training on safe material handling techniques and the use of PPE.
