Join our vibrant team as a Receiving Clerk in Miami, Florida, and be the first point of contact for incoming goods in our busy logistics hub. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our receiving process, setting the stage for smooth warehouse operations. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against documentation, inspecting for damage, and properly logging all incoming inventory. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Key responsibilities include:
- Unloading trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
- Inspecting goods for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately documenting all received items using our inventory management system.
- Notifying relevant departments of any issues or discrepancies with incoming shipments.
- Organizing and staging received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as needed.
This position involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all employees receive thorough training on safe lifting techniques and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
