We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accuracy, speed, and above all, safety in all your operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
