We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory management. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of warehouse operations will be vital in minimizing errors and optimizing stock levels. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient flow of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and report on reorder points.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to logistics and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring regular lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
