About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our San Antonio, Texas logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies), and ensuring that materials are accurately staged and stored. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is paramount. You must strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of heavy items (up to 60 lbs), as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment to move, stack, and arrange materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials according to established procedures.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Follow all company safety policies and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to utilizing PPE and following safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
