Our San Jose, California facility is looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our thriving logistics team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position demands precision, speed, and a commitment to quality. You will be expected to read order forms, locate specific products, retrieve them, and ensure they are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial. Adherence to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This role involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting (up to 45 lbs), standing, walking, and reaching. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of shipping and logistics processes.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and wear PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
