Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager!

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic manufacturing environment? At our Glasgow facility, we design and produce the renowned Waukesha Bearings and Inpro/Seal ranges of components. As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager , you will play a pivotal role in directing and managing our manufacturing and process engineering functions.

In this exciting position, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and lead a talented team in:

  • Creating and planning CNC programs
  • Coordinating tooling and fixturing
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance industrial processes, materials, and products

Our facility boasts a wide array of multi-axis machine tools, lathes, mills, grinders, and more. We handle a high-mix of customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators, serving customers across Europe and beyond.

What You Will Bring:
  • Experience: A progressive background in precision engineering, managing all aspects of a Manufacturing Engineering Department.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in offline CNC machine programming for complex components, with proficiency in CAD/CAM software like featureCAM, GibbsCAM, or Vericut.
  • Leadership: Proven success in team leadership and people management, with the ability to inspire change using Lean tools and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Communication: Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and collaboration skills.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team in creating and planning CNC programming within set timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing designs and provide guidance on manufacturing issues.
  • Create a positive and motivating work environment, directing activities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Develop and execute KPIs to drive departmental performance, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.
  • Proactively address issues with BOM, routing, and CNC programs, and manage tooling specifications with suppliers.
  • Foster continuous improvement by encouraging team participation in enhancing manufacturing processes through Lean and CI techniques.
