The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, configuration, implementation, testing and transition to steady state support of Infrastructure such as; network, telecommunications, and network applications across the enterprise. Ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of the network, which is essential for supporting the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals of the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain the company's network and voice infrastructure. Ensure connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure, including all physical and virtual networking environments. Design, implement and maintain network security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN gateways to protect the company's sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access. Interface with customers, vendors, and 3rd party agencies to coordinate the implementation of secure connectivity solutions. Respond to requests for technical assistance from users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Provide support and training to end-users on system and application usage. Maintain accurate up-to-date records of network infrastructure, user accounts, and system backups. Provide regular reports to management on network performance, availability, and security. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction, and problem-solving assistance for associates. Also oversees the daily operations of other staff. Critical Results
Less than 2% Network Packet Loss Availability (excluding planned downtime) is greater than 98% Average network round trip latency is maintained below 100 ms Education & Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field strongly preferred. 5 - 7 years of work experience in an Infrastructure engineering role Experience designing, implementing, and administering SD-WAN technology, highly desirable, Juniper JNCIP-ENT, Cisco CCNP, or equivalent. Juniper JNCIE-ENT (Preferred) or Cisco CCIE (Preferred). Education Requirements

Ability to perform capacity and resource planning, assess risks, and recommend, design, and implement plans for network systems. Ability to troubleshoot to identify and correct malfunctions and help solve. Working knowledge of network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques Experience in telecommunications and network engineering, with telecommunications, network hardware, and software components. Experience with Multi-Vendor Networking including but not limited to Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Azure, AWS, GCP, Palo Alto, and Juniper. Deep understanding of SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, VLAN's and Multi-layer switching. Data Center Administration and Deployment. Physical Requirements
This position works under usual office conditions and will require travel as needed. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Conditions
