Description:

Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Branch Manager at our Butler, PA location.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Servant leader of the Butler branch, managing department heads and overseeing each of our profit centers, including Sales, Rental, Parts, and Service.
  • Achieve exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and a results-based approach.
  • Design and implement business strategies, goals, plans and procedures to ensure high level performance of the dealership, ultimately having responsibility for financial performance of each profit center and the branch.
  • Assist with the evaluation of inventory needs for rental fleet, equipment sales, and parts sales.
  • Train and develop team members in each of the various operations departments to ensure consistent best practices in areas such as safety, customer service, understanding our financial model, etc.
  • Nurture a culture for employees of achievement, respect, skill, opportunity, appreciation, and safety.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management and retention.
  • Ensure that the SEI facility is maintained in a manner that is inviting, professional, and safe.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The best fit to our team will have:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree in Business Administration, Management, or Finance/Accounting is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role at an equipment dealership, with in-depth working knowledge of each profit center in the dealership.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Functions in a temperature-controlled office environment a majority of the time. Work requires the ability to sit and stand throughout an extended workday (8-10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position requires the ability to talk and hear; position may need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers, and phone conversations.
