We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality, ability to read prints and is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and accurately documenting inspection results. Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming materials, including raw materials (such as steel, plastics, and other components), as well as machined and surface-treated parts using various manual measuring tools (e.g., calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, surface testers, and other instruments). Record inspection results in the quality inspection system and generate supplier non-conformance reports as needed. Sort, quarantine, and properly label nonconforming materials. Perform first article inspections on in-house machined components as directed. Support additional inspection activities, including CMM operation, as required and under appropriate guidance. Prepare and process suspect material review documentation. Communicate with suppliers regarding quality issues when necessary. Collaborate with the CMM lab and purchasing department to resolve supplier and internal quality concerns. Analyze and resolve product quality issues while evaluating and improving inspection procedures. Support and maintain compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). Contribute to the company's strategic objectives and uphold organizational values. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality and manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and procedures. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T. Experience using measuring equipment such as meters, gauges, calipers, and computerized inspection tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally.
