Pet Sitter (Part-Time)

About the Role

As a Pet Sitter, you’ll travel to clients’ homes to provide attentive, high-quality care for their beloved pets. This role is perfect for someone who is responsible, independent, and genuinely enjoys building bonds with animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive to and from clients’ homes throughout Cheshire, CT and surrounding towns
   

• Walk dogs (including long-distance walks)
   

• Feed pets and administer medication as needed
   

• Engage in playtime and enrichment activities
   

• Monitor pets’ behaviors, moods, and overall well-being
   

• Maintain regular communication with clients and team members
   

• Perform light household tasks when clients are away (bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out trash)
   

Must-Have Qualifications

• Prior pet care experience (professional or personal)
   

• Responsible, trustworthy, independent, and detail-oriented
   

• Flexible and adaptable to occasional schedule changes
   

• Comfortable handling all breeds and species
   

• Able to manage strong dogs over 100 lbs
   

• Must be willing and able to drive and work in all weather conditions and temperatures
   

• Tech-savvy and owns a smartphone
   

• At least 18 years old
   

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
   

Compensation

• Starting pay equivalent to $17 per hour
   

• Pet Sitters are paid per job, which can be between 10 and 60 minutes, depending on what the client books
   

• Client tips
   

• Yearly bonuses
   

Scheduling & Shift Availability

We are currently hiring for the following availability:

• Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
   

• Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
   

• Saturday–Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
   

• Saturday–Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
   

Please note:

• Schedules shift significantly week to week based on client needs
   

• Most shifts will not be a full 8 hours
   

• Flexibility and reliability are essential
