Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Operations Team
is looking for a seasoned
Technical Project Manager (TPM) - Hardware Deployment
to spearhead the delivery, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of self-service badging kiosks, printers, and visitor management hardware across Oracle's Colo, hyperscale, and corporate locations. As you report to the Global Director of Systems Operations, your primary goal will be to ensure that our hardware management for badging and visitor operations is robust, scalable, and efficient, thereby enabling secure, high-availability access for employees and visitors in both attended and unattended settings. This critical role plays a key part in reducing operational costs, enhancing workflow efficiency, and ensuring compliance with security and audit requirements globally. Responsibilities Hardware Deployment & Lifecycle Management Lead the entire process of delivery, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and eventual replacement of self-service kiosks, biometric enrollment devices, badge printers, and associated visitor management hardware.
Establish and enforce standards for hardware selection, installation, configuration, and preventative maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Monitor inventory, coordinate replacements and upgrades, and manage hardware disposition for seamless operations and compliance with security policies.
Project Management & Coordination Plan and implement hardware rollout and upgrade projects at both new and existing sites, including Colo, hyperscale, and corporate locations.
Create and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations to guarantee timely and cost-effective deployments.
Act as the main point of escalation for field hardware delivery issues, driving troubleshooting and resolution across teams as needed.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with external vendors and contractors for hardware sourcing, installation, and technical support, ensuring service level agreements are met and quality is upheld.
Collaborate closely with internal security operations, site facilities, and IT teams to align effectively with Oracle's physical security infrastructure and operational needs.
Process Improvement & Compliance Continuously evaluate and optimize badging and visitor management hardware processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and security.
Ensure that all systems and hardware management practices comply with Oracle's internal security, privacy, and audit requirements, maintaining documentation for regulatory and audit reviews.
Support high-availability designs and operations to minimize downtime for critical access infrastructure.
Innovation & Best Practices Stay informed about emerging trends in badging and biometrics hardware; assess and pilot relevant technologies to enhance Oracle's security operations.
Lead or contribute to proof-of-concept deployments that validate new solutions prior to full-scale rollout.
Required Qualifications & Key Competencies Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of technical project management experience in physical security hardware delivery or IT hardware deployment, ideally in large-scale or hyperscale environments.
Proven experience with badging, biometric enrollment, or visitor management device deployments.
Strong project planning, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent documentation abilities, especially concerning audit and compliance needs for physical security hardware.
Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with field technicians and executive stakeholders alike.
Self-motivated with a high sense of accountability; a proven track record of independently managing significant hardware projects.
Desirable Qualifications Professional certifications (PMP, PSP, or similar hardware-focused credentials).
Knowledge of physical security, access control, and compliance best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001).
Experience in process automation or data analytics for managing and monitoring hardware.
