The Transfers team acts as the central hub for crypto and fiat fund movements, enabling one of the most extensive and distributed financial systems worldwide. Our autonomous environment is packed with talented professionals, working on high-visibility projects that have a significant impact on our business. We specialize in various financial products across Coinbase, including Retail, Prime, Exchange, and International Crypto teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and launch product-facing features, ensuring they meet strict correctness and scalability standards. These may involve elements such as market data, trading, accounting, authentication, and security. Design scalable systems to address innovative challenges utilizing modern cloud technology and industry best practices. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our product and technical vision into actionable plans every quarter. Produce high-quality, well-tested code that aligns with customer needs. What We Are Looking For: A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience. A solid foundation in relational databases and transaction management. A strong intuition for REST API design. Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services along with knowledge of service-oriented architecture. A commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer requirements. A genuine passion for constructing an open financial system that connects the world. Preferred Qualifications: Experience during a rapid growth phase in your organization, from startup to mid-size. Familiarity with Blockchain technologies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Experience in breaking down large monolithic systems into microservices. Proficiency with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift. Background in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems. Knowledge of crypto-related experiences, including on-chain interactions, using ENS, and engaging with decentralized applications (dApps). Job #: P75263 Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position may range from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus and equity eligibility, along with comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
