Are you a driven Credit Controller who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and busy organisation where you will play a key role in managing debtors, improving cash flow, and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.


This role will suit someone who is organised, commercially aware, and confident dealing with a large volume of accounts while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.


The Role

Reporting into the Finance team, you will take ownership of the credit control function across a busy ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt and helping to maintain strong cash flow across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively chase outstanding payments by phone and email
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers to resolve payment queries quickly
  • Allocate incoming payments accurately
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Work closely with internal teams including finance, sales, and operations to resolve issues delaying payment
  • Monitor aged debtors and escape overdue accounts where required
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and account updates
  • Support month-end reporting with commentary on debtor balances and cash collection
  • Assist in improving credit control processes and reducing debtor days

About You

  • Previous experience in a Credit Control role within a busy, fast-moving environment
  • Strong experience managing a high-volume ledger
  • Confident communicator with a professional but firm approach
  • Strong attention to detail and good account xcfaprz reconciliation skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Good systems experience, with strong Excel skills an advantage
  • Team player with a proactive and hands-on attitude
