Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
What You Will Do:
Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing mobile engineering teams across iOS and Android platforms.
Own end-to-end technical execution for mobile initiatives, from implementation through release and support.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Quality Assurance, and partner teams to deliver user-loved mobile experiences.
Execute against established enterprise-aligned engineering and architecture standards
Uphold best practices around code quality, testing, performance, security, and operational readiness.
Drive planning, estimation, and predictable delivery for mobile roadmaps and initiatives.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to unblock complex challenges.
Partner with principal and platform engineers to maintain scalable native and Kotlin Multiplatform architectures.
Improve development workflows, tooling, and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain awareness of production health and incidents.
Stay current on mobile technologies and industry trends.
How We Build Mobile:
Our mobile applications are built on a set of established, enterprise-aligned standards designed to reduce friction, increase consistency, and enable teams to move fast with confidence.
Native iOS and Android development using Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) as the standard approach for shared business logic.
Agreed-upon architectural patterns, tooling, and module boundaries.
Standardized CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and app store workflows.
Clear expectations for testing, observability, performance, and production readiness.
Managers are accountable for ensuring teams operate within these standards by default.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of software engineering experience, including mobile development.
2+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
Strong expertise in iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose).
Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, APIs, and backend integration.
Experience shipping and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for building great teams and products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or shared-code architectures.
Familiarity with mobile analytics and performance monitoring.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience scaling mobile applications.
