About

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our Information Systems team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining Linux hosting environments, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across on‑premise and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned incidents, service requests, and operational tickets within the Linux hosting environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ICT service issues in collaboration with Information Systems colleagues
  • Perform day‑to‑day system administration and ensure systems are operating efficiently and securely
  • Maintain, patch, and upgrade Red Hat Linux environments in line with security and compliance standards
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
  • Support and enhance DevOps policies, standards, and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date technical documentation
  • Liaise with third‑party vendors and service providers
  • Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and ensure backup and recovery documentation is current

Technical Environment

Modern and diverse technology stack, including



  • Operating Systems: RHEL 8 (with upgrade to RHEL 10 planned)
  • Automation & Scripting: Ansible Automation Platform, Automation Hub, Bash
  • Version Control: Git (Bitbucket), SVN
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, SonarQube, Sonatype

About You

You will bring a strong technical background combined with a structured, proactive approach to system administration. xcfaprz



  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior or equivalent Linux administration role
  • Advanced understanding of Linux concepts, systems, and infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of policies, standards, and controls within a large enterprise or financial services environment
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors
  • Relevant technical certifications or accreditations
  • Previous experience working within financial institutions or regulated environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational, time‑management, and prioritisation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work to defined SLAs and take ownership of issues
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team‑focused, flexible, and proactive work attitude

Candidates must have Stamp 4, EU or Irish passport and be in Ireland.
