Employee Volunteering are seeking a proactive Digital Platform Functional Owner to act as the “voice of the business” for our custom-built web application. You will play a central role in the platform’s functional evolution, ensuring it continues to meet the organisation’s evolving needs. The platform underpins our mission to enable corporate volunteering and connect businesses with the charitable and not-for-profit community.
This role sits within the Digital team and works hand-in-hand with Development, Infrastructure and QA, reporting to the Head of Digital. You will be the key point of contact for internal business colleagues, external customers, and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment, clarity and confidence in the platform’s direction and performance.
The ideal candidate blends digital product awareness with a strong customer focus and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams. You will bring operational discipline, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep sense of ownership over the platform’s functionality, performance and lifecycle.
As part of a compact, collaborative team, you will be versatile and hands-on. This is a role that combines day-to-day operational responsibility with longer-term strategic influence, shaping the platform roadmap while also engaging directly in delivery. You will be joining a friendly team with a strong ethos and a caring working environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Champion customer needs using data, feedback and research insights. Identify and drive improvements across user experience, platform functionality and customer journeys.
2. Engage with customers throughout their lifecycle; from delivering product demos that support new business, to managing onboarding, fulfilling bespoke requirements and supporting operational needs as customers run their volunteering programmes.
3. Create, update, and curate high-quality platform content, including online activities and training collateral.
4. Act as the central point of contact for all platform-related communication. Clearly articulate changes, progress, risks and opportunities to customers, internal colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
5. Capture business needs, customer feedback, incidents and enhancement ideas and translate them into clear, prioritised backlog items.
6. Support Development and QA throughout the delivery lifecycle, including testing, validation and release preparation. Contribute insights to the long-term functional roadmap.
This role is a full time role that is primarily based in Odiham, Hampshire so the successful candidate must be able to drive and have their own transport. There is some scope for flexible working.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
