Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our rapidly expanding UKI Data Centre sales team. This is your chance to make a significant impact by driving new business and nurturing strategic relationships with key data centre customers, including hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise end users, contractors, and consultants.
Your Mission:In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering both short-term wins and long-term growth for our Carrier Data Centre business in the UK & Ireland. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise, and replacement cycles.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts, building strong, long-lasting relationships at multiple levels.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless delivery from order to commissioning.
- Develop and maintain a robust, insight-led pipeline aligned with a strategic account plan.
- Engage in disciplined prospecting activities (outreach, events, referrals) to open new buying centers and projects.
- Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance our brand and pipeline.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:
- Strong experience in Key Account Management, sales, or business development within data centre infrastructure; HVAC/chilled-water and airside cooling experience is highly valued.
- A proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and achieving ambitious targets.
- Technical knowledge is advantageous, particularly in hydronic chilled-water and airside products applicable to data centre cooling.
- The ability to translate technical concepts into compelling business value propositions and ROI.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; excellent time management and organization.
- A willingness to travel and utilize regional offices as needed; IT literate with MS Office skills.
- A hunter mentality: proactive pipeline generation, resilience, and disciplined execution.
- A customer-obsessed mindset with a strategic, consultative approach to value creation.
