The role is responsible for maintaining advanced algorithms, forecasting, and analytics efforts while developing and implementing advanced predictive models that improve business performance. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who understands business processes, is comfortable working with large datasets, and is not afraid to learn new tools and technologies. Key responsibilities include: Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on financial and operational data. Create and maintain informative reporting that highlights business trends and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models related to Customer Service. Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models that improve revenue performance and collection strategies. Analyze customer service and collections data to identify patterns and performance drivers. Apply statistical and analytical techniques including regression analysis, forecasting, data mining, and visualization. Extract and analyze data from various databases using Python, SQL and other database tools such as VS Code, DBeaver, and Redshift. Provide data mining support and ad hoc analysis for business partners. Support cross-functional projects including data collection, analysis, testing, and implementation of new initiatives. Support strategic initiatives related to revenue and collection activities. Design, implement, and monitor process and system improvements aligned with evolving business needs. Work with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze complex business issues and develop practical solutions. Follow a structured model development lifecycle including development, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring. The successful Associate Data Scientist will demonstrate strong proficiency in Python for analytics and model development. Experience setting up and managing development environments for model building and deployment. Proficiency with SQL or other database query languages. Experience working in development environments such as VS Code. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, AWS or other cloud platforms, and GitHub or other version control tools is a plus. This position is responsible for developing algorithms, modeling techniques, and optimization methods that support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business. Employees in this role use knowledge of machine learning, optimization, statistics, and applied mathematics along with abilities in software engineering with a focus on distributed computing and data storage infrastructure (i.e., "Big Data"). Job duties and responsibilities include: Develops machine learning, optimization and other modeling solutions Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses Works with big data and distributed computing platforms Develops software and contributes to product development Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 0+ years Preferred qualifications include: Master's Degree
