Senior DevOps Engineer
who is passionate about technology and looking to make a significant impact. In this role, you will design and implement state-of-the-art Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) Platform components on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Your expertise will encompass various layers of
cloud infrastructure , managing the
Oracle Autonomous Database , and developing
Java microservices . This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that creates scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. Qualifications: Education BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience 4+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in a senior DevOps engineering role focused on
cloud-native
applications. Core Skills Helm : Experience in designing, maintaining, and supporting Helm charts.
Terraform : Proficient in designing, maintaining, and automating infrastructure and continuous delivery processes.
Java : In-depth understanding of design principles, concurrency, and microservices architecture.
Cloud experience : Proficiency with major cloud platforms, especially OCI.
Observability : Knowledge of metrics, logs, and tracing tools such as Grafana and OCI Monitoring.
Docker and Kubernetes : Expertise in containerization and orchestration for Java and database workloads.
Cloud networking and security : Fundamental knowledge in these areas.
Version control and CI/CD : Familiarity with tools and best practices.
Analytical and troubleshooting skills : Strong proficiency across application and database layers.
Preferred Skills Familiarity with
data pipeline
and streaming technologies.
Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
for large-scale environment provisioning.
Understanding of
cloud data governance, encryption, and auditing practices.
Familiarity with
Java 21
(or later).
Knowledge of
OCI DevOps tools
like Shepherd, Region Build, ODO, Lumberjack, and DevOps Pipelines.
Experience with
Oracle Autonomous Database 26ai
and
Transactional Event Queues (TEQ) .
Responsibilities Automate schema deployments , tenant provisioning, and database lifecycle operations to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
to ensure timely delivery of secure, high-quality software.
Build and operate control-plane and data-plane components , ensuring reliability and high availability.
Conduct code and configuration reviews
to enhance design and performance.
Utilize OCI cloud-native services and tools
to provide reliable containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
Stay current with advancements
in Oracle Autonomous Database, Java, and OCI technologies to improve system design and developer productivity.
