About
As a member of the roofing team, the Technical Services Representative provides technical support to the roofing market, supports the sales team, and promotes the technical expertise of the Sika Roofing team. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
How You Will Support Your Team
- Train applicators to properly and efficiently install Sika roofing systems.
- Monitor application on job sites: start‑up visits, in‑progress inspections, field reports, and problem resolution.
- Perform final inspections for warranty issuance.
- Act as a liaison between the applicator, general contractor, design professionals, and Sika during installation.
- Keep the Regional Sales Manager informed of progress, issues, and needs.
- Support the sales team during pre‑construction meetings, roof inspections, and claim investigations.
- Follow up on leak calls and perform necessary repairs.
- Inspect existing roofs for warranty transfers or extensions, as well as annual inspections.
- Participate in meetings with project stakeholders.
- Meet with maintenance teams or building owners to provide maintenance recommendations.
- Support the Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams (e.g., trade shows, mock-ups, field tests, roof visits).
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.
Physical Requirements
- Mandatory training: WHMIS, Working at Heights.
- Ability to apply Sika products using the provided equipment.
- Lift 20 kg (45 lbs) or more.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and suspended platforms.
- Comply with industry and Sika PPE standards.
- Work for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel required, sometimes to remote regions.
- Prepare clear electronic reports.
- Deliver training sessions on Sika Roofing products.
- A company vehicle is provided.
