About
We are looking for a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our major logistics facility in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory within the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods, maintaining high levels of accuracy, and adhering to all operational procedures. A strong commitment to Safety, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position is integral to the success of our distribution and logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to transport products.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Store and retrieve inventory from designated warehouse racking and floor locations.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Accurately record all inventory movements and transactions.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of all required PPE.
- Identify and immediately report any Safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with other warehouse activities as needed, such as order picking or packing.
- Contribute to a positive and productive logistics team environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
- Understanding of inventory management and logistics operations.
