We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in moving materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment. Your responsibilities will include operating various types of forklifts safely, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting goods to and from storage locations. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; all operators must adhere to rigorous safety standards, conduct daily equipment checks, utilize safe lifting techniques, and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safe lifting procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE.
