About
Our Fort Worth, Texas distribution center is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. You will play a critical role in managing the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This position requires proficient operation of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move products and materials.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse, including storage, processing, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and proper organization.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any defects.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Strictly follow all company safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards, accidents, or near misses immediately.
- Support the overall logistics operations through efficient material handling.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing PPE at all times.
