Join our bustling warehouse team in Seattle, Washington, as a Material Handler! We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that goods are transported efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and from storage to staging areas for shipment. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics processes. You will operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move raw materials, finished goods, and other items. Attention to detail is crucial for correctly identifying and staging materials according to production or shipping schedules. We place a high priority on workplace safety , and all Material Handlers are expected to follow strict guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures for all equipment. This position involves frequent Lifting of heavy objects, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area. Responsibilities:
- Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Stage materials for production or shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
- Perform regular equipment inspections.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Engage in frequent Lifting and physical labor.
