Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing a wide range of materials, operating various types of equipment, and maintaining an organized and safe working environment. A strong understanding of logistics, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to handle materials with care are essential for success. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals experienced in material handling and warehouse logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
  • Distribute materials to production areas or other departments as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
  • Properly use and maintain required PPE.
  • Perform tasks involving manual Lifting of materials, up to 50 lbs., with the use of equipment for heavier loads.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics network.
  • Understand and apply Safety best practices in all material handling activities.
  • Track material movement and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards immediately.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Certification and proven experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting and prolonged standing. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Commitment to workplace Safety and proficiency in safe Lifting techniques are mandatory. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Willingness to work flexible hours and wear necessary PPE.
