Join our bustling warehouse operations in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a Picker/Packer. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This involves utilizing scanning technology, ensuring order accuracy, and contributing to the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. The Picker/Packer position demands precision, speed, and a commitment to quality. You will be working with a variety of products, requiring careful handling and attention to detail. This role is physically demanding, involving significant movement and the ability to lift items. Adherence to strict Safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are dedicated to meeting productivity targets. Understanding of warehouse operations and Shipping best practices is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specific requirements.
- Utilize RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to track inventory.
- Verify picked items against order slips for accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Label packages correctly for shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Meet or exceed productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and speed.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
- Capability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of Logistics and inventory control principles.
