About
We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be integral to the outbound flow of our products, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and ensuring packages are ready for timely departure. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to minimize errors in our logistics operations. We maintain a strong focus on Safety, and all employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While this role primarily involves administrative tasks, there may be instances requiring moderate Lifting of packages. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure seamless coordination between departments. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Verify shipment details against orders before dispatch.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding outgoing shipments.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations.
- Wear required PPE, especially when in the shipping/receiving areas.
- Assist with package handling and staging as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of packages.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
