About
Our Denver, Colorado warehouse is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our dedicated logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials within the warehouse, and ensuring accurate placement of inventory. The successful candidate will possess excellent operating skills, a keen understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment, including the proper use of PPE. You will also perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly. This position is crucial for the smooth functioning of our operations and requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. Experience with different types of forklifts and an understanding of logistics workflows are highly advantageous. We are committed to providing a safe and productive workplace for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., counter-balance, reach truck) to move materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Verify load accuracy and match paperwork to received or shipped goods.
- Contribute to team efforts and assist other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of movements and inventory status.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics setting.
- Physical capability for tasks such as climbing on/off equipment and occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
- Knowledge of WMS or inventory tracking systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
