We are hiring enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our busy warehouse facility in New York City, New York. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the precise selection and careful packing of customer orders, ensuring they meet our high standards for accuracy and presentation before shipping. Your duties will include using scanning technology or pick lists to gather items from various locations within the warehouse, inspecting products, and packaging them securely for transit. Success in this position requires a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work with speed and precision in a dynamic logistics environment, and a dedication to customer satisfaction. This role involves substantial physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of packages. You will also be tasked with maintaining a safe and orderly workspace, strictly following all company safety protocols and the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from storage locations based on order details.
- Verify product identity and quantity against order requirements.
- Package items appropriately for shipping, ensuring protection against damage.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate manual equipment for moving goods within the designated area.
- Keep the packing station tidy and well-stocked with supplies.
- Perform quality checks to guarantee order accuracy and completeness.
- Strictly adhere to safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Support inventory management tasks such as cycle counting when required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is advantageous.
- Experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or similar role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order instructions and product information.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in previous work.
- Physical capability for standing, walking, bending, and repeated Lifting.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment.
- Understanding of safety best practices and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
