We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of safety and quality. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Your responsibilities will include planning and assigning daily tasks, monitoring workflow, and resolving operational issues. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics, inventory management, and safety protocols is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that all staff adhere to company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse supervision and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment. You will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, which may involve coordinating tasks related to Lifting and the movement of goods. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Plan, organize, and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor productivity and provide coaching and training to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counts and stock accuracy.
- Manage receiving, storage, and shipping operations.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Implement and promote best practices in warehouse logistics.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Ensure a safe working environment, addressing any potential hazards and promoting safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Experience with WMS and other relevant software.
- Ability to manage tasks involving significant Lifting and material handling.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
