About
Our busy warehouse in Boise, Idaho is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately recorded, inspected, and prepared for warehouse storage. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, playing a key role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage and tracking.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away by warehouse associates.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring it is free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Support the overall logistics flow by ensuring timely processing of incoming stock.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
