Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where you'll be instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude and hands-on skills to ensure our equipment and facility are in optimal working condition. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of various warehouse machinery, including conveyors, palletizers, and automated systems. Your efforts will directly impact the smooth flow of our logistics operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can diagnose and address mechanical issues effectively. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE at all times. This role involves regular inspection of equipment for potential hazards and ensuring all safety features are functional. You'll work closely with the warehouse team to understand their needs and provide timely technical support. Prior experience with industrial machinery maintenance is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse facility and equipment, reporting any hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate tools and machinery safely for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices for equipment operation.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with Lifting heavy components and equipment.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and adhering to strict Safety and PPE guidelines.
