This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of materials and products. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification required for forklifts).
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack, bundle, and load materials onto trucks or into storage locations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper handling and documentation.
- Identify and report damaged materials or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Support the logistics team in various operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) and prolonged standing/walking.
- Proficiency in operating various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
