Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory items.
- Record inventory data accurately using electronic systems and manual logs.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Assist in maintaining organized stockroom layouts and ensure proper product placement.
- Monitor stock levels and alert supervisors to potential shortages or overages.
- Participate in cycle counting and full inventory audits.
- Ensure all inventory movements are accurately documented.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding inventory management and safety, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Support the receiving and shipping departments with inventory verification as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehousing is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a strong asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) when necessary for counting or verification.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles.
