We have an immediate opening for an Order Picker in our Austin, Texas logistics facility. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring timely dispatch of goods and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will utilize hand-held scanners and other picking equipment to locate and gather items. We pride ourselves on a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The job requires significant physical activity, including walking, standing, reaching, and lifting. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to customer orders and pick lists.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to locate and confirm items.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Stage orders in designated areas for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet productivity and accuracy targets set by the warehouse management.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks as required.
- Report any damaged products or equipment issues to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse flow.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
