About
We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy fulfillment center in New York City, New York. This role is the backbone of our e-commerce logistics, responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. You will work with a handheld scanner to pick orders efficiently and ensure that products are packed securely and correctly. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order details using a scanner.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify picked items against order information to ensure accuracy.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding warehouse areas.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and use required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Assist with restocking and inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency by meeting picking and packing quotas accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to work with scanning equipment and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent lifting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to following safety procedures.
- Understanding of order fulfillment and logistics processes.
