You will be using picking lists and potentially RF scanning devices to navigate our facility and identify the correct items and quantities. The position requires good physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift and will need to perform frequent lifting. Safety is a top priority; all team members must strictly adhere to company safety policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on customer order specifications.
- Use RF scanners or pick sheets to locate products and record picks.
- Ensure correct quantities are picked for each order.
- Stage picked items for quality control and packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Practice safe lifting and material handling techniques.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards for order picking.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or put-away.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret picking instructions and labels.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
