About
We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring that products are transported correctly and in a timely manner. You will operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong commitment to **Safety** and adherence to operational procedures are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange merchandise according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Follow all **Safety** protocols and **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements at all times.
- Support other warehouse operations as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Strong understanding of warehouse **Logistics** and material handling procedures.
- Excellent **Safety** record and awareness of potential hazards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Must wear and properly use all required **PPE**.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
