Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania logistics facility is searching for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator. This key role involves overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management and logistics, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure efficient workflow and optimal utilization of space and resources within the logistics operation.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with PPE requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on warehouse activities and KPIs.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train new staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
