Join our team as a Material Handler in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play a key role in our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the distribution center. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to **safety** and efficiency in all tasks. You will operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move goods to and from production, storage, and shipping areas. Accurate inventory management and proper **lifting** techniques are paramount. We expect all team members to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and follow strict **safety** guidelines. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our **logistics** network. Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Moving materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and verifying stock accuracy.
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Inspecting equipment for defects and reporting any issues.
- Assisting with order picking and packing as needed.
- Adhering to all **PPE** requirements and **safety** regulations.
