Salary:
- Unqualified: Base salary of £29,112.72, increasing to £30,008.16 upon successful completion of the probation period.
- Qualified: Base salary of £30,641.52 (for those with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).
Specific Hours: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Location: Greater London (Covering Camden, Haringey & Islington)

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of our young people. You will not only keep them safe but also contribute significantly to their care, learning, and development. You’ll be a key figure in bridging the gap between Area Camden and the local community, promoting social inclusion and helping young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with your team to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive development.
- Provide emotional and social support, helping young people build meaningful relationships.
- Encourage self-esteem and ensure each young person feels respected and valued.
- Support young people in making positive life choices and achieving independence.
- Maintain accurate records of daily and monthly progress, including child protection and health and safety checks.
- Assess the needs of children and young people, formulating and reviewing care plans under your manager's guidance.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including health advisors, social workers, and therapists.
- Assist with daily living needs in line with individual care plans.
- Engage young people in domestic duties and meal preparation, ensuring a balanced diet.
- Ability to engage positively with young people.
- Self-motivated with a positive outlook.
- Sensitive and reflective in approach.
- Strong listening and empathy skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the care sector or residential care is a plus.
- Willingness to pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if not already qualified.
- Flexibility to work some Bank Holidays.
- Comprehensive induction and mandatory training to enhance your skills.

- Weekly rotating schedule (minimum average of 168 hours per month).
- Waking Night contracts available.
- 236 hours of annual leave (including bank holidays), with an increase of 12 extra hours for every year of service (capped at 272 hours).
