• Enhance wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience, and behaviour management at Lyttelton House School.
• Collaborate with the Education Team to support young people's personal and academic development by removing barriers to learning.
• Encourage positive learning behaviours among students.
• Lead classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
• Deliver engaging enrichment activities during 'Golden Time'.
• Provide in-class support for academic, pastoral, emotional, or behavioural needs.
• Address immediate concerns, clarifying and resolving situations effectively.
• Create and compile information related to lessons and interventions.
• Assist in preparing information for meetings concerning pupils.
• Act as an advocate for the ethos of Lyttelton House School.
• Lead on Reading and Phonics, tracking progress made by students.
• Develop the Pupil Voice initiative, collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team on the Pupil Council.
• Build strong relationships with parents/carers, actively participating in transitions and consultation visits.

• A solid educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics, along with sound IT skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., HLTA).
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in specific areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga, etc.).
• Experience in behaviour management and related techniques.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, with the cost covered by Polaris Community.
