As part of the Polaris Community, we are proud to be associated with a network of schools across the UK, all rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. For over 30 years, we have been dedicated to improving the lives of young people, blending academic progress with emotional well-being and personal growth.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Supporting the class team in creating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to meet individual needs.
  • Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
  • Building strong relationships with students to foster interaction and positive learning outcomes.

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have previous successful teaching experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
What We Offer You

At Polaris Education, we believe in supporting our staff just as much as our students. Here’s what you can expect:

  • A workplace that prioritizes the emotional health and well-being of everyone.
  • Opportunities for professional development and skill acquisition.
  • The chance to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children who deserve high-quality teaching.
  • A friendly, inclusive team passionate about improving pupil outcomes.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, with the cost covered by Polaris Education.

We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from all qualified candidates. Polaris Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
