About
Seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our busy logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations and maintaining the integrity of our inventory. A strong focus on Safety, precision, and efficiency is paramount. You will play a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring timely movement of goods. Strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Put away and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and inventory.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report potential Safety hazards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including order picking and packing.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient logistics environment.
- Follow all company guidelines and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck preferred).
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.
